How to Work with an Animal Communicator for Your Pet’s Well-being

Understanding Animal Communication

Animal communication is a process of becoming more aware of images, thoughts, and feelings in your mind and body. It’s a natural way of connecting with others, and humans do it naturally before learning verbal communication.

We all have the ability to communicate with animals on a deeper level and to tune into this divine guidance.

Animal communicators, sometimes also called pet psychics or animal whisperers, teach classes on how to do it, and it’s not a secret or a gift for the few. They emphasize the importance of intuition, trust, and heart-to-heart connection in forming a deep connection with animals.

What is Animal Communication?

Animal communication can take on as many faces as there are ways to receive intuition and every animal communicator has its unique perspective. It is not only about telepathic communication, it is a way to create a connection and receive input, feedback and also give input and feedback. It is also a way to create a deeper awareness of what the animal’s point of view is.

It sometimes involves concepts, pictures, words, feelings, experiences of body sensations and more. It can be done in person and at a distance because it is connecting through the energetic field. Some may call it a form of telepathy.

It is tuning in with senses that listen in a slightly different way to things not normally noticed. Everyone can do it. It is like tuning into a radio station that is on a particular frequency band.

Is your animal a good candidate for animal communication?

Animals who are good candidates tend to be the animals that you feel have something to say to you or you are looking to make more of a connection with or you want to understand why they are exhibiting particular behaviors.

Another thing that makes an animal a good candidate is if you are feeling intuitively that they are dealing with something health wise and you can’t get your finger on it. This doesn’t replace a vet in any way.

It is just insightful information that may give you a clue how your animal is. There are as many reasons an animal can be a good candidate as there are animals. They all would love to be heard.

Generally speaking, any pet struggling with behavior issues or physical problems is a good candidate as long as the owner is interested in exploring some other avenues toward overall well being of their animal and additional emotional support.

Animal communication is a form of energy healing and an animal communicator, also called a pet psychic, is an energy healer so for the maximum effect the owner needs to have developed intuition or at least be open minded to the possibilities of energy and intuition.

How does animal-human communication look like

It may be different with different people and animals. It can be a simple conversation. There may be changes in behaviors of the animal during the session. There may also be changes in behavior after the session.

Animals are constantly sending us messages if we listen. It is do we trust what we hear or are we too close to the situation to feel we are being objective enough.

Some animal communication can be about sensations that are felt in the body that the animal is experiencing and a form of empathy or intuition involves the person who is connecting with the animal actually feeling what is going on with the animal within their own body.

The topics covered can also range from asking why a pet is doing a particular behavior to what is its opinion on its living arrangements or what is the reason for the intense, immediate connection that the owner had with the pet.

It can be done over the phone, through zoom, Whatsapp, Messenger and it can be a report that is sent to an owner without even a conversation. There are some animal communicators who communicate with wild animals and some are more focused on pets or domestic animals.

Many people who are drawn into occupations that work with animals are doing it on some level and many owners who grew up talking to animals do it without having a second thought about it because it is so natural to them.

These people tend to see the animals as true partners or family versus simply ‘an animal who is there to do a job and not capable of being more than that.’

What does an animal communicator really do

Animal communicators really trust their intuition and divine guidance. They trust what they receive as feedback and gather context to see how it could make sense. The conversation with the owners can sometimes play that role.

The animal communicators can have their own personalized process. Some need a photo, name, age, location, breed, and more. Some need less like a name and location.

They all typically need a unique identifier so they can ‘tune in’ to the right animal. There are different interpretations and processes that each individual communicator does. Animal communicators are good listeners and have a great way of perceiving energy however it shows up.

They are an “old switchboard operator” connecting two parties so they can have a connection and communication. Some will also validate the owner's intuition and encourage them to trust their own knowing more often to keep the connection going between appointments.

How do I communicate with animals

I see pictures, I hear words, I get little movies in my mind of times and places as well as previous experiences the souls may have had before together. I also get a sense of emotions or personalities.

I also make a soul connection and get broader messages depending on where the animals are directing me which can enrich and expand the owners way of being in the relationship with their animals. We never know what they will say or do or why they are doing things until we ask.

It has been profound witnessing what I have witnessed. Truly an honor. Our animals truly do want us to be the best version of ourselves.

Preparing for a Session

Gathering Information About Your Pet

Animal communicators need to have a way to identify who they will be connecting with. I see it like dialing the right phone number to connect. Each communicator will have what they need.

In my case, I look for the name, location, age, and owner’s name. Truly there should be only one of them.

The Animal Communication Session Process

How the Session Will Unfold

I just get quiet, ensure my own energy is calm, grounded and centered. I tune in to the animal, not the owner and I introduce myself. I go in with reverence and I wait patiently to pick up on feedback.

The feedback may be a sense of their energy or presence. It may be a sentence or a paragraph. I may get a pop culture reference of some sort as a clue.

It may be a very reserved presence that I need to be with before they trust me so I may talk to the owner about why we are talking, what they are dealing with, what they are looking for because the animals are in the “field” with us and can respond to what the owner is saying because this is a session of undivided attention on all sides.

If requested by the animal, I follow their lead in supporting the owner to shift overwhelming energy if either party is an empath.

I also offer tools and insights to support the animals body if there is something within my realm of knowledge to suggest like a bodyworker session, a way to make loading in a trailer or going to a show easier for both parties or even nutrients that could be lacking in the animal’s both.

There can also be a lot gained from just sharing points of view of the situations going on whether at a barn or with health issues or dealing with a loss or change in the environment. Informing animals about these things can be really supportive to the situation for them and the owner.

We don’t often even consider it and it is so valuable.

Addressing Physical Pain and Discomfort

Identifying Underlying Causes

The animal communicator can help identify underlying causes of physical pain and discomfort in your pet. They may suggest alternative healing modalities, such as finding a Reiki master teacher, Masterson Method, Equine Fascia and Trauma Release or other modalities to complement traditional veterinary care.

By understanding the root cause of the issue, you can work with your veterinarian to develop a more effective treatment plan.

Implementing Changes and Monitoring Progress

Putting the Communicator’s Recommendations into Action

The animal communicator will provide guidance on implementing changes to improve your pet’s well-being.

You may need to make adjustments to your pet’s diet, exercise routine, or living environment.

Monitor your pet’s progress and adjust the plan as needed.

Building a Stronger Bond with Your Pet

Deepening Your Connection with Your Pet

Working with an animal communicator can help you deepen your connection with your pet. You’ll gain a better understanding of your pet’s needs, wants, and desires.

This can lead to a stronger, more loving bond between you and your pet.

How can you become better at listening to your animal

Becoming present is one of the best ways to become better at listening. The other way to become better at listening is being more aware of small details and also the things you perceive in different situations with your pet.

Acknowledging that you received their ‘message’ will encourage them and let them know you are listening even if you do not agree with them. Following your intuition is a pathway that is so fulfilling. Give it a try and see what happens.

How can you better communicate with your animal

It is great to experiment with different ways to communicate. You can send them pictures or movies of what you would like to have happen.

You can let them know with your energy and intention where you wish them to be for example on a walk or in your home. You can also make a game of things and see how they respond.

Once the door opens to this type of connection don’t be surprised with how much more engaged they will be with you. Pay attention it can be really subtle and depending on the animal it can also be loud and clear.

Observe if they have positive changes in their behavior with more time connecting with you in this way. It can be amazing what they will offer us.
