Get to know Laura:
As a child, Laura always brought home injured, ill or stray animals; something she still does. Being with animals and helping them is a way of life for her. She has always shared a deep connection, kinship, and understanding with animals, domestic and wild, especially horses.
In 2011, after a successful 25-year career as a professional development trainer and management consultant, she left the business world to spend more time with animals.
She partnered with a friend to start a pet and farm-sitting business. Soon after, Reiki found her through a very special mare and changed her life forever! Because of another special mare soon after, she began her formal animal communication work.
Not long after completing Reiki Master training with Odilia Forlenza (North Carolina Reiki Training Institute), Laura completed trained through Reiki/Animal Reiki Teacher level with Kathleen Prasad, Animal Reiki Source, and now practices and teaches her Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki.
Laura formally studied animal communication with Anita Curtis and then Thea Strom and Nancy Windheart. She enjoys helping humans and animals understand each other better, problem-solve, and enhance their relationships through animal communication.
Currently, Laura is learning everything she can from Dr. Susan Fay, author of Sacred Spaces – Communion with the Horse through Science & Spirit about building strong energetic connections with horses. Through Dr. Fay’s methods of connecting with horses and truly “listening” to them, all other interactions become almost effortless. Laura has also begun her training in the Masterson Method of Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork®.
Laura believes if we give animals a choice and honor their unique preferences in how they interact with us, whether it be in a healing session, training environment, or just life in general, the animals show up for us in ways we could never imagine. Everything becomes easier and the space is indeed sacred. Laura loves combining her background in training, her deep connection with animals, and her passion for energy work to create life-changing learning experiences for her students. She currently teaches animal communication, Reiki/Animal Reiki Levels I-III, and Energy Healing for Horses.
Three horses, a donkey, a llama, one sheep, three dogs, three goats, eleven cats, and many chickens - most of whom are rescues, as well as various wild animals let Laura
live on their farm in South Carolina.
Laura is passionate about animals, nature, and energy work. She loves helping animals and humans find healing, peace, understanding, harmony, and balance through energy work and animal communication.
